Purpose:

The Roger Bacon Academy family of charter schools has created this webpage to house Comprehensive Contingency Plans for any event that requires school closure or a major adjustment to the standard course of operations that prevents or decreases the capacity of in-person instruction. On this site, you will find information on online learning, student and staff expectations, educational technology assistance, special services, and food services.

Comprehensive Contingency Plan Overview:

The Roger Bacon Academy is committed to ensuring that all students have access to learn as we enter the 2020-21 school year under updated restrictions. The "Lighting Our Way Forward" guidance is a comprehensive document being followed by all public schools in NC which outlines Plans A, B, and C for reopening schools.

As announced by Governor Cooper on Tuesday, July 14th, all NC public schools, including charter schools, will be operating under Plan B to start the 2020-21 school year.

  • Plan A: All students in school with minimal social distancing

  • Plan B: Limit student density in facilities to no greater than 50% capacity with moderate social distancing

  • Plan C: No students in school buildings - online learning only

Frequently Asked Questions

Full classical curriculum will be available for either on-campus or on-line attendance for 2020-21!
